The National Monuments Service's description
A large flagstone was uncovered while clearing ground for construction of a house about 8 years ago. Beneath it was a tunnel (local information) which was immediately covered in without inspection. The site is marked by a low mound and lies c. 100m SW of a ringfort with souterrain (KE037-037----).
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 766. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
