There is no visible trace of circular cashel KE036-007---- marked on the OS maps.
There was reputedly a souterrain within the enclosure and 'large bones were found in it when removing the stones in 1832'.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 639. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
