The National Monuments Service's description
(h) A 1.15m wide gap between 2 sections of a pre-bog wall is marked on either side by an upright slab set at right angles to the line of the wall. The stones measure .75m and .6m in height above the surface of the bog and may define an entrance gap.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 25. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
