The National Monuments Service's description

This record was formerly classed as a 'fulacht fiadh' in both the SMR (1990) and the RMP (1997). The monument is described by the 'Castleisland District Archaeological Survey' - March 1990 - as a 'small mound of [burnt] material' which had been levelled by the landowner in the 1980s and 'removed some of the stone to metal a farm road' (SMR file). (Sheila Ronan, 10 May 2006)
