The National Monuments Service's description

This site, the second of the pair, is in an excellent state of preservation. It consists of a circular area measuring 7.4m N-S enclosed by a fosse and external earthen bank. The external height of the bank measures 1.7m, the width of the bank at the base measures 4.7m, and the internal height rises to a maximum of 1.5m above the fosse. Access to the interior is gained by an entrance to the SE; the gap is 3.2m wide and has a causeway leading across the fosse, which measures 1.6m wide.

The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 91. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
