The National Monuments Service's description
Internal diameter 26.7m E-W
This univallate rath's N sector has been cut by a fieldbank running NE-SW. No trace survives N of the fieldbank. The remaining features were much levelled about 4-5 years ago, but the enclosing earthen bank is still quite distinguishable. It is on average 5m wide at the base; it is .6m high internally and .9m externally. The interior is at much the same level as the surrounding land.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 791. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
