The National Monuments Service's description

Internal diameter 27.4m N-S, c. 28m E-W
Lissadrough/Lios na Darach (ringfort of the oak). This univallate rath consists of a sub-circular area enclosed by a well-defined earthen bank. The NE through E to SE sectors of the enclosing bank have been incorporated into a fieldbank. The enclosing bank rises to 1.2m-2.2m above the internal area and to 3m above the external ground level. The interior is at a higher level than the surrounding land and two breaks S and W, measuring 2m and 1.4m respectively, provide access to it. In the SW sector of the interior is a slightly raised semi-circular mound (KE021-090001-) curving in towards the interior of the enclosing bank.

The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 781. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
