The National Monuments Service's description
Internal diameter 38m N-S, 38m E-W
Situated three fields NE of KE021-087---- & KE021-088----, this site consists of a circular area enclosed by a well-defined bank and exterior fosse. The enclosing earthen bank rises to 1.8m-2.6m above the interior and 3.6m above the external fosse. The external fosse is flat bottomed, 1.4m-4m wide and 1.2m below the height of the surrounding land. The entrance would appear to lie to the SE, as there is a clear break in the fosse, though there is no corresponding one in the enclosing bank.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 776. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
