The National Monuments Service's description
Internal diameter 35m N-S, 37m E-W
This bivallate rath is situated at the S end of a large pastoral field. It consists of a raised circular area, rising to a maximum of 2m above the fosse. The fosse encloses most of the site, except to the E where a pond encroaches on it; otherwise it is well defined and is 2m wide. The outer bank has been somewhat incorporated to the S into a fieldbank which is running E-W; to the E it has been destroyed and the pond is now in its place. The outer earthen bank rises to 2m above the fosse and 1m above the external ground level.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 683. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
