The National Monuments Service's description

Internal diameter 30m N-S, 31m E-W
Situated in the SE corner of a large pastoral field with fieldbanks lying immediately E and S, this site consists of a circular space enclosed by an earthen bank c 7m wide at the base and rising to a maximum 2.6m above the interior and 4.2m above the external ground level. The interior is at a slightly higher level than the surrounding land and access is gained by a 1.7m wide entrance to the SE which would appear to have been stone lined. There are at least three mounds constructed of stones in the interior, suggesting either souterrain (KE020-066001-) or house-site remains.

The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 687. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
