The National Monuments Service's description
Internal diameter 25m N-S, 24m E-W
This univallate rath is situated in the corner of a field SE of KE017-012----, on pastureland sloping NE to the River Feale. A fieldbank cuts this site to the NNE and another fieldbank runs along the SW to NW side. The site consists of a circular area enclosed by a well-defined earthen bank and exterior fosse. The enclosing bank ranges in external height from 2m-3m and .4m-3m above the interior. The fosse is best defined to the W though it can be identified for the whole of the site. It ranges 1m-2.6m in width and .4m-1.6m below the height of the surrounding land. Two main gaps appear in the bank to the E and W, measuring 4.6m and 2.6rn in width respectively. A possible outer bank can be identified to the E for c 14m.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 657. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
