The National Monuments Service's description
Internal diameter 23m N-S, 24m E-W
This univallate rath is situated to the S of KE015-091----, in the corner of a field. It consists of a circular area enclosed by a well-defined earthen bank, which has a steep exterior side and an exterior fosse. The enclosing bank is on average 6m wide at the base and rises to a maximum of 3.2m high above the fosse and 1.8m above the interior. The exterior fosse, which is well defined, steep and U shaped, is on average 2.1m wide and .7m-2m deep. Entrance is gained to the interior, which is at a higher level than the surrounding land, by a 5m wide gap to the E. A lot of stones are evident, suggesting a stone-lined entrance. In the S sector of the interior is a mound, 5.4m x 2.8m internally and .7m high. About 9m NW of this is a small mound, 1.2m x 1.2m internally and .7m high.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 534. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
