The National Monuments Service's description
Internal diameter 22m N-S
On the 1841-42 OS map this site is situated in Ballymacandrew North: the townland boundary was changed, moving it into the present townland. Though this site is not marked on the 1916 edition map and it is much levelled, it is still distinguishable. It consists of a semi-circular raised area which has been slightly cut on its W side by a fieldbank running N-S. It rises to .6m above the surrounding land.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 532. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
