Situated S of a possible burial ground (KE013-013----), circular univallate cahir KE013-015---- has a good view of the surrounding land. The circular area is enclosed by a low, wide stone bank.

To the N of this and in the centre of' the cahir is a house-site (KE013-015002)- which is possibly divided into two by a dividing stone wall. The entrance to the house-site lies to the E and is 1m wide; the overall dimension of the house-site are externally 18.4m N-S x 10.2rn E-W. Extending out of the SW corner of the house-site is a narrow ridge which travels SW for 10.6m before touching the interior of the enclosing bank. Extending out of the NE and NW corners of the house-site is a raised area which stretches for 9m and 13m respectively until they touch the interior of the enclosing bank on the NE and NW sectors.

The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 811. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
