The National Monuments Service's description
Internal diameter 41m N-S
Lissagower/Lios an Ghabhair (ringfort of the goat). Situated immediately E of a large, now-disused house, this site lies SSW of KE009-054----. Rattoo round tower (KE009-056001-) lies to the S. This univallate circular rath is enclosed by a c 4m wide earth and stone bank. It rises to a maximum height of 1.8m externally and 1.5m above the interior. The interior, which is at a higher level than the surrounding land, contains a slight depression 7m wide and .6m deep in the N sector. Since the exterior side was used as a dump, this depression could be a modern disturbance.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 343. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
