The National Monuments Service's description
Internal diameter 42m N-S, 42.6m E-W
Situated on slighdy elevated land the site has a good view of the surrounding countryside. This sub-rectangular enclosure is of earth and stone morphology and measures 48m x 50m externally. It consists of an enclosing bank averaging 1.8m in height externally, 1.2m in height internally and 4m in width at the base. Numerous breaks are to be noted in the bank, especially on the E side, but they appear more as cattle breaks than possible entrances. The interior of the enclosure gently slopes E.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 342. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
