The National Monuments Service's description
Lisheen/Lisín (little ringfort). Marked on both editions of the OS maps, this sub-circular enclosure is cut slightly NE-SE by a small stream. This site also shows up as a discoloration on the Geological Survey of Ireland aerial photographs (1974). However, no surface trace survives today.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 319. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
