The National Monuments Service's description

On a small, possibly natural mound, in gently undulating terrain on the SE margins of The Curragh. Visible on an aerial photograph (DoD 1999). A small, almost circular area (diams. 3.8m E-W; 3.6m N-S) is defined by a vegetation band (Wth 2.3m) of lusher grass growth. It lies on top of a low, sub circular mound (ext. diams. 17.5m N-S; 15.4m E-W; H 0.6-1.5m).
