The National Monuments Service's description
Shown on the current ed. (1910) of the OS 6-inch map as a roughly circular field (diam. c. 50m) containing trees, immediately W of Gowran Grange House. However, neither it nor Gowran Grange House are recorded on the 1st. ed. (1838) of the map. It appears to be a late-19th /early-20th century landscape feature associated with the house.
