The National Monuments Service's description

From a location named ‘Gravel pit’ on the OS 25-inch map and visible as a quarry/sand pit on a 2005 aerial photo (OSi Orthophoto). In 1935, two skeletons, four Food Vessels, and an Encrusted Urn were found in a sand pit here (NM1 1935 (443-7, 447a, b), and in 1943, cremated bones, an Encrusted Urn and a slug knife were found a short distance to the NW (NMI 1943 9368-370). Area appears to have been quarried away since.
