The National Monuments Service's description
At the S end of a possible medieval field system (KD017-018001-) with a possible ecclesiastical enclosure (KD017-018003-) immediately to the W. The very poorly preserved remains of a large, rectangular enclosure (ext. dims. L 60m NW-SE; Wth 40m), partially levelled during land reclamation in 1957 (SMR File), is defined along NW and SE by a low earthen bank (Wth. 6-11m; int H 0.2-0.4m; ext H 0.4-1.3m) and elsewhere by a low scarp (H 1m). It contained a cairn (KD017-018005-) that produced possible burial evidence (KD017-018006-). Immediately to the W, between it and the possible ecclesiastical enclosure, a second rectangular area (ext. dims. traceable L c. 56m NW-SE; Wth 38m) is defined by a low scarp (H0.4-1.1m) except along the SE where the enclosing element has been removed. May have been a second enclosure or a field. (CUCAP ATA 67 (1967); CUCAP AVR 6 (1968))
