The National Monuments Service's description

One of five sites (KD013-028---- to KD013-032----) recorded in Prosperous bog, part of the Bord na Móna Coolnamona group of works, and all classified as, 'sightings of archaeological wood'. Two sites were dated (KD013-029---- and KD013-032----) and returned dates of AD1010 to 1260 and AD1300 to 1450.
KD013-032---- comprised two roundwood elements of alder, one of which exhibited evidence of branch trimming, located on the bog surface. Dated AD1300 to 1450. (ADS Ltd. 'Site Code PPS005')
