The National Monuments Service's description
Close to the edge of a limestone terrace above the sea on W side of Inis Meáin. The monument is very ruined. The gallery (L c. 3m), aligned E-W, is represented by one N sidestone, now markedly pitched to S, and two S sidestones, lying flat beneath a large displaced roofstone. A number of displaced slabs cover W end of the gallery. Some slight traces of a cairn are apparent around the tomb which seems to have been built on bare rock. (Robinson 1980)
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993).
