The National Monuments Service's description
In the S half of the graveyard (GA117-065002-) associated with the medieval church (GA117-065001-), close to the gateway entrance. This upright free-standing font (H 0.5m) has been placed on top of a small, fairly recently built, rectangular stone structure. It is octagonal in shape and the bowl is square on the inside (dims. 0.42m). It has a series of four ogee-headed openings at the base. Probably of 15th-century date (galwaycommunityheritage.org/content/archaeology/lickmolassy-late-medieval-baptismal-font, last accessed 8 January 2019). It was brought to our attention by Dr C. Cunniffe.
