The National Monuments Service's description

In level pastureland overlooking lower ground to the SSW. When inspected in October 1982, this very impressive and well-preserved subcircular rath (int. dims. c. 58m NW-SE; c. 48m NE-SW; overall dim. c. 96m NW-SE) was clearly visible and free of overgrowth. On re-inspection in January 2019 it was not as obvious due to the impact of a forestry plantation around it. The rath is defined by three banks and two fosses. The outer bank (Wth 1.4m; base Wth 5.5m; int. H 1m; ext. H 0.6m) is visible from SE through W and N to NNE. A roadway clips it from NE to SE. The middle fosse (Wth 2.75m), middle bank (Wth 2m; base Wth 6.5m; int. H 1.4m; ext. H 1.5m), inner fosse (Wth 3m) and inner bank (Wth 1.7m; base Wth 6.8m; int. H 1.5m; ext. H 2.5m) are visible all round but are obscured at W due to overgrowth. The interior is clear and featureless. An enclosure (GA114-133----) lies c. 98m to the WSW and there is a ring-barrow (GA114-128----) c. 80m to the NW. (Killanin and Duignan 1967, 68)
