The National Monuments Service's description
Within the W sector of a rath (GA104-143----). This drystone-built souterrain was described and planned by Knox and Redington (1916, 179-82). It consists of three chambers connected
by two creeps. Access was gained at S end of the 1st chamber (L 3.5m; Wth c. 1m) which runs roughly N-S. A simple creep at its N end leads to the 2nd chamber (L 5.8m; Wth 1.4m), which was similarly aligned, and a drop-hole creep accessed the 3rd chamber (L 6.8m; Wth 1.5m)
which ran NE-SW. An air-vent was evident in E wall of the 2nd chamber. The entrance is now blocked up and the souterrain is inaccessible. (McCaffrey 1952, 231, no. 118)
