The National Monuments Service's description
On a rise in gently rolling grassland, formerly part of Turoe demesne. Circular enclosure (diam.
30m), in fair condition, defined by an earthen bank (Wth 1.6m; ext. H 1m; int. H 0.6m) planted
with trees and bushes. Slight traces of an external fosse (Wth 2m) are visible at NW. A gap at ENE appears to be modern. The interior rises towards the centre and was densely overgrown with thistles at the time of inspection. Possibly a tree-ring enclosure but the siting and dimensions of the bank are typical of raths in this area.
