The National Monuments Service's description
Situated beneath the S sector of the enclosing bank of a rath (GA097-007----). This drystone-built souterrain (L >7.3m) runs N-S and extends away to the S from the external face of the bank. Only the N end of the chamber (L 2.8m; Wth 1.8m) survives intact. The S end (L 4.5m) has collapsed and its line is indicated by a stone-filled depression. There is another possible souterrain (GA097-007003) in the N sector of the interior.
