The National Monuments Service's description
Close to seashore at the head of An Dólainn. Slight remains of a large round 'kitchen midden' which is known locally as An Caisleán Cruinn (pers. comm. T. Robinsbn); possibly the site referred to by Brunicardi (1914, 200). Not visited.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993).
