The National Monuments Service's description

On a hillock in gently undulating grassland. Poorly preserved subcircular ringfort (N-S 36m, E-W 30m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. From NE to E the internal face of the inner bank is faced with stone. A gap (Wth 3.7m) at S may be original. A low bank of earth and stone (L 8m) radiates from the monument at S; possibly associated. A ringfort (GA074-033----) lies c. 150m to SW.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
