The National Monuments Service's description

Some 350m ESE of a ringfort (GA074-029----). Poorly preserved circular rath (D 44m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. From SW through W to NW dense overgrowth obscures the enclosing elements. A gap (Wth 3.5m) at ESE may be original. Field boundaries overlie the outer bank at NW and SE.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).

Date of upload: 05 August 2010

The monument was taken into Ownership under the National Monuments Acts 1930 to 2014 - National Monument 563.
