On a slight rise in low-lying level grassland. When originally visited in August 1983, it consisted of a poorly preserved and heavily overgrown rectangular church (E-W; L 11.9m, Wth 5m), probably of late medieval date. Apart from E gable (Wth 0.9m, H 4.5m), only the lower courses of the other walls survived. There was a large gap (Wth 0.8m) in the centre of N side-wall, to W of which the wall line appeared to have been rebuilt a little to S of the original. The S side-wall (Wth 0.6m) and W gable (Wth 1.8m) also appeared to have been at least partly reconstructed. The only surviving architectural feature was a plain single-light round-headed window in E gable. In 1988, the church was extensively 'rebuilt' as part of a graveyard-cleaning scheme, and a grotto-like feature was built on the line of W gable. The church stands just off-centre in an oval graveyard (E-W c. 70m, N-S c. 40m) defined by a modern stone wall (ASGAP 167:77), possibly mirroring the line of an early ecclesiastical enclosure. This monument also extends on to OS sheet 69 (GA069-022----).
