The National Monuments Service's description
On a knoll in woodland. A reported possible enclosure proved on inspection to be a substantial rambling field wall following the contour of the knoll. The wall is constructed of large boulders, now moss covered and heavily overgrown with undergrowth. It is wide and high in places (Wth c. 1.8m; H 0.8) and though it mainly survives in a tumbled state, coursing, as well as some inner and outer facing, is visible intermittently along some stretches. The wall appears to be delimiting a small field/paddock associated with the house and outbuilding shown to the N of it on the 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map. It is likely to be post-AD 1700 in date. A large heavily overgrown boulder in the SE section of the interior appears to be natural.
