The National Monuments Service's description
Immediately N of a CBG (GA060-026002-). All that survives are faint traces of an almost totally levelled oval enclosure (N-S 49.5m, E-W 38.5m). This is defined from W through N to S by a low scarp, outside of which, from N to S, are slight traces of a very shallow fosse. No visible surface trace survives elsewhere. A modern field fence and drain, running E-W, cut the monument in half: the S part of the interior is further subdivided by an earthen boundary which runs off it at right angles.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
