In a low-lying area of rock outcrop and scrub. Marked on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map as a cluster of rectangular buildings. The visible remains comprise at least eighteen drystone-built houses, a series of collapsed field walls and three roadways. It covers an area c. 440m E-W by c. 250m N-S. The houses consist of one or two rooms, and are generally aligned roughly E-W, though they do not form any coherent plan. They measure c. 9m by 4m and generally have a gap in one of the side-walls. A number of their external corners are rounded, while the internal corners are right angled. The fields are defined by low grassed-over collapsed stone walls and vary in size from small garden plots to large rectangular fields. The three roadways (L c. 40m, Wth c. 5m) are defined by upright stones. An enclosure (GA088-089----) lies within W half of the cluster and a number of the houses lie within it. A field system (GA058-088001-) lies immediately to NE. (ASGAP 385:31-2, 37, 39)
