The National Monuments Service's description
In N half of a subcircular enclosure (GA055-062----). This CBG, correctly Lios na Tríonóide, consists of a roughly rectangular area (NNW-SSE 19m, WSW-ENE 25m), slightly raised above level of interior and defined on SSE and WSW sides by traces of a boulder revetment. Numerous small set stones are visible in the interior, generally arranged in N-S rows, indicating graves oriented E-W. According to local tradition, this CBG was in use until 1930s and many of the trees and bushes growing within it were planted by the relatives of the children.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993).
