The National Monuments Service's description
Some 100m E of Creevaghbaun Church (GA044-047002-). A small well-preserved rectangular building (E-W; L 1.8m, Wth 0.7m) composed of well-dressed mortared limestone blocks, possibly reused from another building. Access is gained via a flat-headed doorway (Wth 0.5m, H 1.1m) at W end of N wall. The roof is barrel-vaulted. Possibly a sweathouse but the doorway appears to be too large for such. A holy well (GA044-073001-) lies c. 5m to N.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
