The National Monuments Service's description

In gently undulating grassland. Circular cashel (D 47.1m), in fair condition, defined by a drystone wall overlain throughout by a field wall. Field-clearance rubble lies against the outer wall-face from N through E to SSW. A field wall cuts the monument at N and E. There is a CBG (GA042-158002-), a souterrain (GA042-158001-) and a possibly later rectangular house (E-W; L 14m, Wth 8m) within the interior.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
