The National Monuments Service's description
On marginal land overgrown with rushes. Named 'Quarries' on the OS 1:2500 plan (surveyed 1912-16). No visible surface traces survive. Probably of 19th/20th century date. According to local information, it was a natural hollow that was subsequently infilled.
