The National Monuments Service's description
On the crest of a ridge in grassland. Poorly preserved circular rath (D 56m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The fosse and outer bank are present from SW through N to E. Quarrying has encroached upon the enclosing elements at SE, SW and NW. A trackway cuts the monument at SE and SW.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
