The National Monuments Service's description
In undulating grassland. Circular rath (D 61m), in fair condition, defined by a bank and external fosse. The bank is present from SW through N to SE; elsewhere a scarp forms the enclosing element. A number of large boulders are placed intermittently on top of the bank. The fosse survives from NW through N to E. A number of field walls cut the monument. A gap at E, although modern, could indicate original access. A CBG (GA029-110001-) lies in NE quadrant of the interior interior.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
