The National Monuments Service's description

On a SW-facing slope in grassland. Very poorly preserved circular rath (D 30m) defined by a scarp, intervening fosse and outer bank. No visible surface trace of the enclosing elements survives from NW through N to NE or at SE due to quarrying. A field wall cuts the monument at NW and NE. A ringfort (GA029-168----) lies c. 30m to ESE.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
