The National Monuments Service's description

Just S of the centre of an early ecclesiastical enclosure (GA028-012004-). Marked on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map as a small roofed rectangular building, aligned N-S. All that survives is a faint rectangular platform (N-S; L 11.3m, Wth 5.4m) clearly defined only at NE corner where traces of a wall foundation (H 0.6m) are visible; elsewhere a scarp and/or small cairns of earth and stone mark its limits. No architectural features are visible. A large chunk of crudely coursed mortared limestone masonry lying 25m to E may have come from this building. A CBG (GA028-012003-) lies immediately to SE. (Gwynn and Hadcock 1970, 385)

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
