The National Monuments Service's description

On the summit at S end of the promontory c. 250m SSW of GA023-029----. Aligned NNW-SSE and 2.6m apart. Both stones (GA023-030----) are of granite. The N stone is squat and subcircular in plan (H 0.5m); S stone is taller and oblong in plan (H 1.5m). No visible trace survives of the small 'enclosure' (GA023-030001-) noted by Redington (1914, 238-9) on E side of S stone.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993).
