The National Monuments Service's description

Close to cliff edge at SW end of island. Poorly preserved subrectangular enclosure (N-S 19.5m, E-W 22.4m) defined by a collapsed drystone wall. The foundations of a rectangular house (L 7m, Wth 4m ext.), with a doorway in N wall, occupy N portion of the interior. One of the field walls on the island (GA021-031----, b) terminates at this enclosure, and there is a small enclosed field (40m by 35m) 50m to SE. The early ecclesiastical remains (GA021-026022-) lie 200m to NNW. (Herity 1977, 60)

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993).
