The National Monuments Service's description

This is the easternmost of three fairly closely associated burnt spreads (see also GA019-084---- and GA019-085----, c. 42m and c. 142m respectively to the NW), all located on a long gentle W-facing boggy slope, which had recently been drained and ploughed. They were uncovered during the course of that work. This example comprised a very visible and well-defined spread of small burnt stones and charcoal, covering an area of 6m N-S by 1.5m E-W, but it had been truncated along the E by a modern drain. A section along the headland bordering the drain revealed a depth of deposit of at least 0.2m.
