The National Monuments Service's description
In pastureland. FitzPatrick (2019, 25-6) noted a series of small fields and plots, on LiDAR imagery, surrounding a cashel (GA016-0137----) and extending over an area c. 150m WNW-ESE and c. 115m NNE-SSW. Their small size and organic form suggest that they are part of a field system associated with the possible rectangular building (GA016-137002-) visible in the W half of the interior of the cashel. The latter feature may be a late medieval addition to the cashel.
