The National Monuments Service's description
In undulating grassland. Aerial reconnaissance in July 1965 (CUCAP ALR 82) revealed a low circular enclosure defined by two vegetation bands. The field has since been reclaimed and all that survives is a very poorly preserved circular area (D 31m) defined by a slight scarp and an external fosse. Two earthworks (GA016-112----, GA016-113----) lie c. 100m to NNE and c. 100m to NE respectively.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
