The National Monuments Service's description
Just above HWM on W side of a small bay. Indicated on OS 6-inch maps and regarded in local tradition as a Famine graveyard: human bones are reported to have been found there after heavy storms. No visible surface trace survives.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993).
