The National Monuments Service's description

Within ringfort (GA005-070----). Neary (1914, 121, no. 66) notes that the garth of this rath 'contains a souterrain'. It is remembered locally, but its exact position could not be pin-pointed and no visible surface trace survivies.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
